1 INDICATIONS AND USAGE Atovaquone and proguanil hydrochloride tablets are an antimalarial indicated for: • prophylaxis of Plasmodium falciparum malaria, including in areas where chloroquine resistance has been reported. ( 1.1 ) • treatment of acute, uncomplicated P. falciparum malaria.
